I was born in Palermo, Italy, in 1983. After graduating from Law school, I decided to combine my passion for Justice and Storytelling into Filmmaking. Since 2009 I have been assisting Wim Wenders on several projects as 1st AD, editor and cinematographer.

I co-wrote and edited for Netflix Making 1899, the behind-the-scenes documentary on the series 1899 from the same creators of Dark.

As a director, cinematographer and editor I worked on numerous commercials, music videos and video installations (among others for clients such as The Criterion Collection, AMPAS, Oxfam, Netflix, Wim Wenders Stiftung, Volkswagen Group, BMG, Facebook, Netflix, Babbel, Motorola, and artists such as Die Toten Hosen, Fabrizio Cammarata, Angelo Sicurella, Etta Scollo, Infamis, Kliffs, Sea+Air, Rickie Lee Kroell).

My first documentary feature film, A Black Jesus (2020), premiered at Dok Leipzig and was awarded in numerous international film festivals.

A Black Jesus won the German Human Right Film Award in 2022.
